My Comments

Ric Bottorf:

My only comment would be that i agree with most of what you say but, slow and ponderous ? Latly it may appear that way but I'm sure MSFT did not just wake up today and decide hey! lets buy that you know that search engine yahoo. It took time, crunching numbers, looking into who will get axed, who will stay and many other variables to be ironed out. They have a plan of action you can bet on it, like building a highway when you see the stakes and flags in the ground it is still hard to read where the road will go. Which lane goes East or West. MSFT has that figured out already and you will see new and exciting things come from this merger. There will be technological advancements we have not seen.
We will see net TV and thats one even comcast can't pull off Good luck in future and happy trading Rics Pics

Jonatan, I can't wait for your blog. I must know who is behind the curtain. As you know I was one of those poor souls who got burn't for real. As you said congrats to the leaders. Thanks for the ETF knowledge. As always your blogs are enlightening.

Ric Bottorf:

Tom,
Great explanation. I don't understand the sharp increase in stock price? I also saw that DRYS is on the naked short list. I like the momentum but, as you said use the stop loss as when this ship sinks , there will be no life savers on board

Ric Bottorf:

Tom.
Well put, So unfortunate but true. Fear & Greed
at its best. A habit in the market that maybe immpossible to break. As far as the cedit problems and the loss of value in the middle class home investment is just beginning. Well done
Ric

Ric Bottorf:

Very nice, I would buy it. Looks like a great Mutual Fund. I just wondered why each stock added up to $2500. Wouldn't it be prudent to buy more of the higher quaity stocks or equal number of shares ? Really I love it. All great picks right now. But the numbers throw me. Like I would buy more GLD for example. You have proven your self time and agian so if there is a reason it is equal I'd like to know. Other than that its great
Good Job Ric Bottorf aka Timeismoney

Ric Bottorf:

If ever a company imploded on itself this one has. The stock had been overpriced and when momentum is removed from the share price like this one the plummet was sure to come. Who knows where all the money went, I am sure there is more to this story. Advetisment cost's could not have been the only thing dragging this company down. They have always had high profile advertisment cost's. I don't believe that that many people just quit using the product. As far as buying now, I wouldn't touch it. 4th 1/4 Earnings fell 47% over a year earlier ? How ? Why ? These questions desperatly need answered.

Ric Bottorf:

Thanks Uncle John for that great insight. It is amazing that most any question can be answered in depth and professionally on this web site by the bloggers. I thank you for your comments. Ric

Ric Bottorf:

Thanks Mr Barton for your commrnts, they are always entertaining,
Well Mr Barton, I am only assumming that Starbucks did some sort of product placement Research before they invested a couple million dallors in China. Certainly its been my experience that coffee sells well in Shanghai Personally I don't care if they serve warm water fish head juice as long as it turns a profit. I read somewhere that perhaps they would serve suchi and rice wine.
Really they started with raw octipuss
Now that you sparked my imagination, I'll call and see what they plan to sell.
Ric

Ric Bottorf:

Matt,
MOS good sell
CHK could have held a while before sale
CSCO Should had bought at next pull back
NTRI wasted paper, Internal problems I can smell it, There are better picks, find one
AAPL ok but watch for pull backs
GLD, BUY more
The other tech stocks will be awhile, week or so
Looks like your doing a fine job, just rushing it a little. Nice job, Ric Bottorf, Keep up the good work Matt.

Ric Bottorf:

Becky,
Great veiw of the market. Hope to read more of your insight. good Luck in your investments, Ric BOttorf

Ric Bottorf:

Great day today. Its not that often that all shorts pay off like today. Good job. It will happen more often unfortunately. Ric Bottorf

Ric Bottorf:

Jonathan,
You could not be more right. Even with population growth and all that comes with it, we could not use all the farm land given up by tobacco. In PA we pay farmers not to grow in thier fields. They get a check if they do not plant. If we were near any problems I believe they would stop that program. Thanks for bringing that to attention, Good article.

Ric Bottorf:

Congrats Jonathan,
It's been such a pleasure to have met you on SLO. You guidance has always steered me straight. Your research is second to none. You deserve this recognition as much as anyone and more than some. I know you disagree. Ric Bottorf

Ric Bottorf:

I thought that Airline stocks were only a bargaining chip to give to employees instead of money. Some foreign Airlines have traded high for short spurts. But Uncle John said it best, just how do they make money ? Also good luck.
