About Tim Melvin

Tim Melvin is a writer and investor from Stevensville, Maryland. After 20 years as a broker, the last 15 as a vice president of investments with a major regional firm in the Mid-Atlantic, he now works form home observing and reporting on the markets, as well as managing money for family and friends.

Tim specializes in deep value investing as preached by the legendary Ben Graham. He has two decades of experience investing in bank stocks, particularly small community and regional institutions.

When he is not following the markets and looking for stock too cheap not to own, he can usually be found either reading or floating somewhere on the Chesapeake Bay.
